This course provides you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in relation to the processes and practices of managing people within an organisation.  It will help you to review your HR practices at a strategic level to ensure they are working effectively for the organisation.

Health and Social Care Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship is awarded through the completion of:

Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care - Learners will need to complete 21 knowledge based credits from 9 mandatory units.

Functional Skills - Maths Level 1 and English Level 1

The Health and Social Care Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship consists of nine mandatory units, totalling 24 credits. The learner will select further optional units to make up a total of 46 credits. There are three pathways to choose from – Working with Older People, Dementia and Adults with Learning Disabilities. Further optional units will be be chosen in relation to your specific job role.

Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) – Learners will achieve this qualification by completing the City and Guilds Level 2 Award.

The advantage of completing an apprenticeship is that it is a nationally recognised programme which combines taught provision with workplace observation and assessment. This way of learning thoroughly equips candidates to apply learnt theory to their practice, demonstrating themselves as competent.

Who is the Course for?

The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care is suitable for anyone working in a health and social care role supporting individuals with their daily routines and needs.

There are no formal entry requirements to access an apprenticeship. Entry is determined between Truro College, the learner and the employer as the qualification requires a commitment from all parties.

This apprenticeship will take a minimum duration of 12 months.

Assessment:

Learners will be assessed through written assignments, evidence gathering, workplace observation, completion of induction standards and Functional Skills exams.

Resource Efficiency Level 2 Award

Course Overview

Reduce your business costs by saving money on your energy, water and waste management. We show you how and provide you with a bag of efficiency gadgets worth £90.

This three day course gives you the skills you need to be able to analyse your energy and water usage and drive down costs by identifying efficiency measures. We also include a session on managing waste. Businesses who have already completed the course have identified impressive energy and water savings and some have even turned their old rubbish into hard cash.

Cost

This course may be fully funded if you are aged 19+ over and employed for 8 hours a week or more.
