Penwith College Information Evenings

Join us at the College in November to find out more about our fantastic study opportunities.

Vocational & Technical Courses Wednesday 08 November 5pm - 8pm

The purpose of this event is to allow parents and students to understand and experience the vocational aspect of the college course offer. The event will kick off an informative overview of the vocational provision including Apprenticeships, the difference between technical and vocational qualifications, progression opportunities for students. This talk will be repeated at 6.30pm for those unable to attend at 5pm.

Following the first talk there will be 4 workshops, each 30 minutes long. On arrival you will be given a timetable for the evening to allow you to pick and choose the workshops of interest. All workshops will be offered throughout the evening at 30 minute intervals. The purpose of these is to allow parents and students to engage in activities with adequate time to get involved and ask questions.

Whether you can come for the whole or part of the evening we would be pleased to welcome you, meeting in the Zennor Reception.

Workshops throughout the College

Workshops are available in construction, motor vehicle, computer games, childcare, media, health & social care, art, music, business, IT, sport & public services, professional cookery, beauty, hairdressing, employability.

If you are unable to attend there is an Open Day on Saturday 25th November 10am-3pm when the whole college will be open and staff will be available to show you around and answer any queries.

A Levels Thursday 16 November 3.15pm - 7pm

The purpose of this event is to allow parents and students to immerse themselves in A levels at Penwith College by taking a tour of the facilities whilst students are in class, enjoying a short taught lesson in a series of subjects, an informative talk by the College Director with details regarding how A levels have changed and what students can expect when they come to College and finally a fair where all of the teaching staff will be available in one space to talk about their subjects, what is involved and suggest possible subject combinations.

Tours of the A level facilities and the opportunity to see students at work

4.15-5pm             
Mini lessons will be available in maths, science, English, business & economics, history, psychology and photography.

5pm and 6pm

5-7pm                  
A Level Fair in the Zennor refectory
