The Future:

Successful students may progress to the final year of the BA (Hons) Photography degree at the University of Plymouth - details are available from the course tutor. The premise of the qualification is to equip aspiring photographers with the knowledge and ability to take the first steps towards a career in photography. Foundation degree graduates have a range of opportunities within industrial and commercial organisations where a broad-based and work-related education is desirable.

Features:

The Foundation Degree in Action Photography is a vocationally oriented qualification run by Truro and Penwith College in partnership with the University of Plymouth. This Foundation Degree is designed to equip students with the specialist skills and knowledge increasingly required to work both independently and for client based commissions. Photography is a challenging and satisfying area of work where creative and organisational skills can be explored and consolidated.

Extra Information:

The very strong practical base of the course is underpinned by contextual, legal and ethical studies. This can lead the student either down the path of further study or to embark upon a freelance career.

Header Notes:

The Foundation Degree (Fd) has been in existence since September 2001 and is a new Higher Education qualification which aims to bridge the gap between education and employment. Each course is designed to maximise the benefits to both students and prospective employers with work based elements within the course structure, which can lead straight into employment or into the final year of a related Degree course.
