Mentors:Students are supported both academically and pastorally by tutors and lecturers. The Future:Successful students may progress to the final year of the BA Media Arts degree at the University of Plymouth. Various alternative progression routes are available, depending on the student's aims and ambitions - details available from the course tutor. Features:The Foundation Degree in Media Advertising is a new employment related qualification run by Truro College in partnership with the University of Plymouth. Foundation Degrees are designed to equip students with the specialist technical knowledge increasingly required by employers. Contacts with local organisations and professional agencies will aid students in their studies, with possible access to briefs for artifacts, strategies, schedules and budgeting experience. The design of the course focuses on real scenarios and working as often as possible with real clients, as 'freelance' agents. Extra Information:The premise of the qualification is to equip advertisers with the knowledge and ability to confidently move into the industry in a variety of specific pathways that are led by strong long term job requirements, as well as giving a first class base for those who may wish to take their qualification higher at university. Header Notes:The Foundation Degree (Fd) has been in existence since September 2001 and is a new Higher Education qualification which aims to bridge the gap between education and employment.
