Children’s Care, Learning and Development Apprenticeship Advanced
This course is for more experienced employed individuals who are in a supervisory role and wish to gain skills and knowledge as well as practical work experience in roles involving working with children from 0 - 16 years.
Children's Care, Learning and Development NVQ Level 2
This qualification is for people who work with children from 0-16 years (and their families) in settings or services whose main purpose is Children's Care, Learning and Development. It is suitable for those working as nursery assistants, learning support assistants, crèche assistants or pre-school assistants.
Children's Care, Learning and Development NVQ Level 3
This qualification is for those who work in face to face roles with children aged 0 - 16 years. You should have supervisory responsibility which can be a specialist role, and involve training others in their field of work.
Children's Care, Learning and Development NVQ Level 4
This qualification is for those who work in face to face roles with children aged 0 - 16 years and their families. You should have managerial responsibility which can be a specialist role, and involve training others in their field of work.
This two day twelve hour course is concerned with the appropriate First Aid treatment of children and babies as recommended by OFSTED. On successful completion of the course a candidates will gain a Paediatric First Aid certificate which remains valid for three years. This course is ideally suited for childminders, nursery and school workers, people working with early years and even parents who want to increase their knowledge of First Aid for children
This course is for those who work in a supervisory capacity with children aged 4-16, by facilitating children's access to a range of play opportunities within a number of play environments.
Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Apprenticeship (Previously Teaching Assistant)
This Apprenticeship is specifically designed for those working in a school as a teaching assistant. The qualification will cover topics including; helping with classroom resources and records, provide support for learning activities, help with the care and support of pupils and providing effective support for your colleagues.
Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Apprenticeship Advanced (Previously Teaching Assistant Advanced)
This Apprenticeship is specifically designed for those working at an advanced level as a teaching assistant. The qualification will provide an advanced level of skills and knowledge and covers topics such as; contributing to the management of pupil behaviour, eastablishing and maintaining relationships with individual pupils and groups of pupils, supporting pupils through learning activities and reviewing and developing professional practice.
This NVQ is designed for youth support workers helping young people aged between 11 and 25 to develop personally and socially. Endorsed by the National Youth Agency as appropriate qualifications for youth support workers, they are aimed at people working in a range of settings with young people. These can vary from youth clubs and centres to schools, colleges and voluntary youth organisations.
The Level 3 award is suitable for individuals who work directly with young people in front line services but also have more leadership responsibility for the development and promotion of the service or agency.
