RNLI charity fundraiser

Volunteering students from the Foundation Studies department at Truro College put their successful fundraising efforts towards collecting funds for the RNLI recently.

The group organised and took part in a series of activities to raise money for the charity, including a sponsored four-mile walk, plus a cake and bric-a-brac sale at College, with the cakes proving popular amongst both staff and students!

After combining this year’s flurry of fundraising with money raised previously, when the students participated in another sponsored walk and a lecturer took part in a half marathon for the cause, the group had raised a fantastic grand total of £382.33 for the RNLI. They then visited the lifeboat station in Falmouth to see where their money would be used.
