Opportunities to work with a leading chef who boasts global expertise are rare, but thanks to an exciting partnership between Truro and Penwith College and Watergate Bay Hotel, those looking for a career in the kitchen are in luck.
Three successful candidates will become Apprentices and join the team at one of Cornwall’s most beautiful locations while working under Executive Chef Neil Haydock.
Neil’s has held senior roles at a number of highly-regarded restaurants, including the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, Terence Conran’s Bluebird in London and most recently, as Executive Chef at Fifteen Cornwall.
Budding chefs can find out more at an Open Day on 7th of September (12pm – 4pm) at Watergate Bay Hotel, where they can meet the team, tour the facilities and get help with their applications.
While undertaking their Apprenticeship with Truro and Penwith College, successful candidates will work in all three kitchens at Watergate Bay Hotel and be part of the Watergate Bay Academy.
In addition to the formal qualifications gained under the Apprenticeship programme, members of the Academy also enjoy the benefits of bespoke training at work and constant opportunities earn and learn.
