Christmas comes to Little Harbour

Enterprising students have set up their own business project – in order to donate some festive goodwill to charity.

Alisha Trathen, from Truro, and Rosie Hill, from Penryn, both Art and Design students at Truro and Penwith College, raised a fantastic £135 as part of an enterprise project through the Employability programme.

Alisha and Rosie decided to donate the money raised to Children’s Hospice Southwest’s Little Harbour in the form of Christmas presents for the children, which they presented to the charity at the hospice.

The Enterprise project allows students to gain employability skills, such as teamwork, project ownership and customer service, as well as developing greater confidence, respect and inclusion of others, whilst working for a local business or setting up their own.
