Truro College is an outstanding college in Cornwall where you can study English. Students come from all over the world to study on our ESOL / EFL programmes.

The classes run all year round and you are welcome to join our courses at any time. Our courses are completely flexible so that you can study for as little as a couple of weeks or for a couple of years!

We provide classes all over Cornwall, with our main centres in Truro, Newquay and Penzance.
We have a number of outreach centres where we teach English to students in rural communities. We also work closely with employers in Cornwall to offer a variety of courses in the workplace. Our courses are available to anyone who would like to practise and improve their English skills.
We have specialised classes catering for all levels from beginners to advanced, and in the classes we focus on improving all 4 language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
All our classes are taught by professionally qualified experienced tutors. We ensure that class sizes are kept small so that you will get the individual attention you need to develop your English.

If you require, we can also offer 1 to 1 private tuition. As a Cambridge examinations centre, we offer the Cambridge FCE, CAE and CPE exams twice a year in June and December. In addition to this, we also offer preparation classes for the IELTS exam. Please click on exams for further information.

For students interested in settling in the UK we offer the Trinity Skills for Life exams on a monthly basis and we run a UK Citizenship course which can be studied both to learn about the UK and to assist you gain British Citizenship.

Cornwall is a great place to live and there are plenty of job opportunities during the busy summer months. Furthermore, once you are a student at the college you are welcome to attend English classes in any of our centres and to use all the facilities at the college.
We have scheduled our classes to fit around the busy lives of our students who often live and work in the community.
Classes run from Monday to Friday and you can choose how many hours a week you want to study from just one class a week to an intensive course of 15 hours a week.
