PADI Open Water Diver course - Cost: £260 - Duration: 4-5 days

When you finish this internationally recognised diving course, you will be able to dive with any other qualified diver, without an instructor, anywhere in the world. This is the first step on the PADI training ladder and is your ticket to independent underwater adventure.

This course is a lot of fun and you will never forget these first steps in your diving career. We promise you a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which to learn and we pride ourselves in giving each student the individual attention that they need.

There are three parts to this course: Course Schedules

1. Learning and understanding the theory that you need enjoy diving safely. There are just 5 sections of questions to complete as you read through the manual These will be handed to your instructor during the course. You also watch a series of videos, in the classroom, which guides you through the information from the manual. The videos also introduce the practical skills that are learnt/practiced in the swimming pool. Your instructor will review and fully explain anything that is not clear and you have plenty of opportunity to ask questions. 

2. Learning and practising diving skills in a swimming pool with the help of an experienced PADI instructor. Your instructor demonstrates each skill and then guides you through the process of doing them yourself. You will have plenty of time for practice and will be given as much individual attention as you need to feel comfortable with each skill. 

3. Practising your dive skills and demonstrating how well you can dive to your PADI instructor in the sea. On your underwater SEA adventures, you'll get a close up look at the underwater world, see fish, crabs and lobsters. There is the opportunity to see some U Boat wreckage from WW1 which has now become home to a whole range of aquatic life!

Minimum age is 16 and we run courses all year round. We also run weekend only courses. Bring a towel, bathing costume and a tee shirt plus your sense of adventure!
